Privacy Policy
The following privacy notice explains how personal information is collected and processed by the myHealthE system. Please read it carefully as it applies to all patients and families using our system.
System security
The security of our system is extremely important to us and our patients. As such the myHealthE system has been developed under the guidance of the South London and Mausdley (SLaM) Information Governance and Digital Services senior management. To ensure the best possible system security we have used an independent organisation called 'SensePost' who specialise in providing to the NHS security checks, and have conducted a full safety assessment of the myHealthE system.
Protection of personal information
Any personal information that is collected using the myHealthE system will be processed in line with the SLaM clinical records policy which can be found here and protected in accordance with Article 8 of the Human Rights Convention, General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (2018) and common law. Furthermore, a Caldicott Guardian is also employed by the Trust to ensure that patient confidentiality is protected according to patient rights.
The myHealthE system uses a government platform called GOV.UK Notify to send our patients emails and text messages. GOV.UK Notify complies with the Data Protection Act and has been assessed and approved by the Cabinet Office Senior Information Risk Officer (SIRO). More information about GOV.UK Notify security can be found here https://www.notifications.service.gov.uk/features/security
To protect confidential information, all members of our evaluation research team comply with SLaM's Information Governance requirements for processing clinical data and do not have access to any patient identifiable information. For more information on the service evaluation please refers to our patient information sheet, which is available upon request.
